We are living in an era when the media is dominating what audiences
have never seen before. Two weeks ago, this phenomenon has set a new
precedence with what it has achieved with audiences around the world.
And of course the record I’m talking about is the release of the movie
musical “Mama Mia!”.
If you don’t already know, “Mama Mia!” has broken the record for the
biggest box office opening for a musical in a single weekend. If the
numbers are consistent with the film’s momentum, the film should and
will continue to break records.
Around the same time last week, X-Games 14 has done something pretty
spectacular as well. With different formats to a lot of the
competitions, there was a noticeable flow to the X-Games this year,
which has been lacked in years prior. I’m liking the new feel of the
X-Games except for the fact that my favorite announcer Paul Higgins is
no longer commentating the events. With EXPN.com
and the event getting prime time slots on TV, the rest of the world is
getting more exposed to some of the sports we take for granted.
I have a dream. My dream is to one day witness Travis Pastrana and
an Eskimo side-by-side partaking in a Motocross event. That’s my dream.
