On what appeared to be a grim cloudy day, the sun broke out for an hour and a half as the worlds's top women snowboarder halfpipe riders competed in the Covergirl Snowangels halfpipe jam.

Aspen Local Gretchen Bleiler took top honors, with former Olympic gold medalist Kelly Clark in second, and Mammoth Mountain's Elena Heigt in third. Hannah Teter, gold medalist from the most recent Olympics in Torino, Italy rounded out the top four.
