Methamphetamine causes extreme nervousness, insomnia, confusion, aggression, high body temperature, cardiovascular collapse and death. It’s cheap, addictive and rots your teeth.
More than 13 million Americans have used meth, and it will soon pass cocaine as America’s favorite hard drug. The U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) blamed the sudden popularity of meth on readily accessible recipes found on the Internet and the widespread availability of drug ingredients (over-the-counter cold and allergy medicines). Meth users pay a terrible price. It can trigger brain damage, hallucinations, symptoms resembling schizophrenia and can cause severe heart damage. (American Journal of Medicine, 120: 165-171 2007)
